3 Must Dos When Buying a Used Car

The market for Personal Contract Hire Volvo XC60 is growing with leaps and bounds in India. In fact, it is giving a tough competition to the new cars market. The growth numbers are almost neck to neck if we consider the last 3 years. This means there are a lot of people who are choosing to buy used cars.

But buying a pre-owned car is not the same as buying a brand new car. You just don’t walk into the showroom, pick a car, and get done with it. It’s not as simple as that. There are a few must do items to follow when you buy used cars in Bangalore.

  • Always Get the Car Inspected

Most dealers and even owners produce an inspection certificate to showcase the condition of the car. But this can be deceiving. Rather than having a blind faith in these documentations, you should go ahead and get your own inspection done for the car. You may find out a few surprises.

  • Always Ask for Original Documents

If you are convinced that the car is in good condition and worth buying, then insist on seeing the original documents of the car. Ask the seller to produce the original registration book, the insurance policy on the car, the road tax receipts, and service maintenance records. This will protect you from falling trap to someone trying to sell a car that does not belong to them.

  • Always Take a Test Drive

Just like nobody today buys a new car without taking a test drive, you should not buy a used car without taking a test drive. The test drive will give you an opportunity to feel the pulse of the vehicle and see how it performs on the road. It may also highlight some hidden problems.
